Bryan Wolford

Freelance Writer

I am a lover of comics, books, movies, and television. This led to working in the television industry for 20+ years. Now I spend my time writing for such publications as JoBlo.Com, Comic Book Resources, and other freelance opportunities. I have been a podcaster since 2006 and am a published author.

Lisa Newhouse

Copywriter/Content Marketing Specialist

I'm a former pharmaceutical salesperson who uses my sales skills to write persuasive copy with the intent to increase sales by accelerating customers through marketing funnels. I have been writing the Children's Factory blog for the last 3 years. (Probably 95% of the blogs written in that time frame are mine.) I built our Amazon Storefront and wrote the copy. (Find it at: https://www.amazon.com/stores/ChildrensFactory/page/17C62F9A-3416-4E6D-8B53-F39DE3B35005?ref_=ast_bln) Sales have doubled in 2022, which is largely due to me improving the UI/UX. We are on track to sell more than 1.15 million in 2022. (This reflects just sales tracked by our Amazon Store - not total Amazon sales.)

Lindsey Gainer

Writer / Editor

I first fell in love with writing and editing in college, where I served as the editor-in-chief of my school’s newspaper before graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications & Journalism. Since then I have had the privilege of working in a variety of environments and with all different types of clients, from health organizations, nonprofits, and agencies to startups, small businesses, universities, and corporations. I have a special interest in health and medical writing, and have completed anatomy & physiology, medical terminology, and biology courses toward that end. No matter the project, I appreciate that this type of work affords me a glimpse into different worlds that I may have never been exposed to otherwise - learning and researching energizes me! I love taking what I’ve learned and turning it into useful information for a reader that will have a positive impact on their life. Interested in working together? Lee Hedgepeth

Writer, Reporter, & Storyteller

Lee Hedgepeth is a writer, reporter, and storyteller based in Birmingham, Alabama. Lee grew up in Grand Bay, Alabama, a small town in south Mobile County. Lee holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of South Alabama, as well as master’s degrees in journalism and political development from the University of Alabama and Tulane University, respectively. An journalist with a decade of experience, Lee has worked for outlets including Alabama Political Reporter, Lagniappe Weekly, and the Anniston Star, covering events ranging from impeachments to executions. His work has been cited by outlets like the New York Times, the Washington Post, and US News and World Report. Most recently, Lee worked as a digital investigative reporter at CBS 42 in Birmigham. When snow fell on the Magic City in the first days of 2022, Rentle Lee Wilson was left out in the cold. The City of Birmingham said that Boutwell Auditorium had been “unavailable” as a warming center, and that reality had left individuals facing homelessness – folks like Wilson – without a place to keep warm. In the days and weeks that followed that snowfall, Lee Hedgepeth worked to tell the story of Wilson and those like him, documenting the experiences of individuals often left out of Alabama’s story. In his role as an investigative digital reporter for CBS 42 in Birmingham, Lee developed meaningful connections across Alabama that have allowed him the opportunity to highlight the stories of people like Erica Connell, the mother of Keleen Connell, a 27-year-old shot and killed by Birmingham police. Lee has sat down to talk with folks like Hattie Collins, who waited for hours to see Vice President Kamala Harris speak in Selma. And Lee has interviewed leaders like La’Quaylin Parhm-Mack, who went from a ward of the state to become the first Black woman to serve as Assistant Chief of the Birmingham Police Department.
