The D.C. Defenders (3-5, 2-3 XFL Conference) are back on the field Sunday and although their playoff drive came to an abrupt end last week, the Defenders hope to end the season on an upward trend. Standing in the way this week are the Memphis Showboats (1-7, 0-4 USFL Conference).
