Alex is a digital media producer, journalist, blogger, and ex-New Yorker who lives in Southwest Florida. He currently is working as an Archives Fellow at The Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, working on a variety of digital media projects. Alex recently served as a freelance contributing writer and photojournalist for the "Out and About" section of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. Alex's film and television career spanned ten years, first working as a freelance camera assistant on episodic narrative television and feature films. For the last five years, Alex worked as a digital media operations analyst at AMC Networks. In his spare time, Alex also produced, wrote, and directed several digital short-form comedy videos as well as performing and training in sketch comedy and longform improvisation at The Upright Citizens Brigade, The Pit and The Magnet.

Gianna is a pencil sketch artist who enjoys drawing from life or any reference. She first developed her interest in art in spring of 2019 while attending Skyline College's study abroad program to Florence, Italy where she took her first art class and maintained this skill naturally. In fall of 2020, she became part of The Skyline View Newspaper and created hand drawn images for a number of written stories. Gianna carries on with completing many enterprises from home and remains open to drawing for others as well. I am a sophomore at Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism double majoring in journalism and economics. I currently write for InsideNU, a sports-focused publication at Northwestern, and have previously written for both NorthByNorthwestern’s magazine and online site. I serve as the lacrosse beat writer for InsideNU and traveled to cover the NCAA Final Four for women's lacrosse last year. I also have experience in multi-media storytelling and have produced multiple video and audio stories through Medill.

I love talking with people who entrust me with their story. It's an honor to craft it into a tribute to the challenge they've overcome, or the meaning they've added to other people's lives. A rural elementary schoolteacher who defied death after a brain aneurysm ruptured, then accidentally ran a half-marathon. A physical therapist for children with cancer who pulled off a final fishing trip for one of his patients, inside the hospital. Some stories, like some people, tend to be more subtle. But each has a reason to be told. I want to share as many as I can. I enjoy freelance writing for a website that spotlights business news in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota, area. I spent more than a year and a half writing stories about patients, leaders, physicians and other employees of Sanford Health, a sizable rural health care system, for the organization's news website. And before that, I had an extensive background in editing, for print and digital, at South Dakota's largest daily newspaper, the Argus Leader. Now I'm eager to find a new adventure in storytelling.
