Copywriter/Editor, Screenwriter and Blogger
After discovering the gift of writing at age 12, my skills have matured to embrace many facets of the writing craft. From novels and ghostwriting of non-fiction, to screenwriting and producing copy for heads of state, multiple publications, online outlets, firms, and multibillion-dollar corporations, I deem myself lucky to have been allowed to grow and utilize my ability to communicate with various audiences all around the world through the written word.
PR Director, Editor, Journalist, Gamer
Once I transitioned from game journalism to communications in 2012, all of my endeavors took place behind the scenes. Working with top-level press from Entertainment Weekly and The Wall Street Journal to Venture Beat, PC Gamer, IGN, Edge, Polygon and others, I've pitched and secured magazine covers, company documentaries, and profile-raising industry feature stories. My goal is to work hand-in-hand with media to create real stories, genuine engagement and memorable content. Before working in PR, I wrote stories about games and the people who make them. I was the first managing editor for Next Generation Magazine and one of the founding editor at IGN. I've launched, founded, and co-founded several publications, broken major game news stories, secured dozens of exclusives, appeared on TV, and reviewed games with honesty and compassion. During a freelance transition period, I consulted on dozens of titles for AAA publishers including EA, Ubisoft, Warner Bros., LucasArts, Take-Two, Sega, and more. In an earlier life, I wrote and published poetry and short stories. As a Communications and PR professional, I've launched the PR components of Rocket League, ARK: Survival Evolved, Furi, Endless Legend, Kingston's HyperX headsets, Furi, and more. During its four-year peak, I directed all of the PR campaigns to expand and attract a broader audience to Warframe, the genre-leading free-to-play looter shooter from Digital Extremes. When I'm not working, I spend time adoring my wife and children, playing beach volleyball, surfing, backpacking, playing games, reading, cooking and gardening.

Editor and social media manager with 7 years of experience creating engaging content and leading editorial processes. Manage social media accounts and implement strategies to engage audiences, grow followers and increase traffic. Research and analyze trends to develop and pitch the most creative content.
My passion for storytelling began when I was 13. Beginning with a dream of being a journalist in high school, my first investigative article was part of a series titled "In Your Shoes" and tackled the difficult subject of teenage pregnancy and public perception. After high school, I spent four years working for my college paper, where I was the first Web Editor for the publication. During my time in that position, I built the web team that went on to win Best in Show for College Papers the Fall after I graduated. In the years since working for my high school and college newspapers, I have bounced between creative writing, journalism and marketing. I like to think that my experience with each of these styles has laid the technical foundation for quality storytelling while helping me to think outside the box in order to create effective content strategies and compelling brand stories that drive leads and revenue growth for organizations.
