Rachel Waters

I've been a lot of things in life: A gothic fashion model (it's ok to laugh), a federal investigator, a cat nanny. But through it all, I've been a writer. Over the last 12 years, my work has appeared in more than 100 magazines, websites, and newspapers including The New York Times, The Huffington Post, and USA Today. Driven by boundless curiosity and impeccable research chops, I explore the intersections of identity, culture, healthcare, technology, and policy. When I'm not working, you can find me testing the latest biometric gadget, powerlifting, exploring some remote corner of the world (most recently, the Republic of Georgia), or making viral memes on Reddit that have been featured in Vice, the UK's Sun Tabloid, and Bored Panda.

Grace M. Taylor

Freelance Journalist, Content and Blog Writer (SEO), Copywriter, Editor, etc.

In 2018 I graduated from Western Washington University with a major in P.P.E. (politics, philosophy and economics) and a minor in journalism (news/editorial). During my time at WWU I gained crucial experience with research, academic and creative writing, fast-paced newsroom functions and publication requirements (copywriting, editing, InDesign/Adobe, SEO functions and content writing as a whole). Since graduation, I have gained both professional and personal writing experience. Some of my professional experiences include SEO content, blog editing and content creation, community advocacy reporting, travel magazine content and so on. My personal writing is more focused in topics ranging from consciousness and mindfulness, to creative storytelling. As time swirls by, I really just want to continue learning and expanding my skillsets and my written voice. My writing style connects deeply with readers through vivid storytelling and accurate reporting. I bring the curation of my experiences with mindfulness, political and ethical theory, and my education in journalism, to every piece. I have a strong attention to detail. Meaning, I am a strong and meticulous editor, researcher and content creator. I pride myself on professionalism and effective, ethical journalism. "Attached to nothing, connected to everything."

Andew Steel

Multimedia Writer

Ben Franklin once said, "If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead, either write something worth reading or do things worth writing." I say, why not both? My meaning in life comes from a strong desire to better the human existence in the ways I can. I have many tools toward this end: a talent for writing, martial arts experience, a background in EMT work, a singing voice. Each has its use, but the written word has the potential benefit of being considerably long-lived and far-reaching, so I use it the most. My writing has taken me from the frontlines of the battle against Alzheimers, to the Christmas carolers of New England communities, to KGB spies on U.S. soil, to the rallies of popular presidential hopefuls. I've found so many beautiful and inspiring stories in each, and have always done my best to give them the words they deserve. As I go forward, as a writer, but more importantly as a person, I strive to continue inspiring change, with words when I can and with action when I can't.

Aurore Kaeppelin

JOURNALISTE REDACTRICE/JOURNALIST EDITOR (FREELANCE)
