Tim Gwynn Jones

Analyst, writer, and podcaster

I'm a political and monetary-policy analyst, writer and podcast host. As a journalist-turned-analyst, I've been covering the EU and its markets for three decades. In 1995, I was on the team that launched European Voice (acquired, rebranded and expanded as Politico Europe in 2015) with a beat covering economics, the transition to the euro, business, and trade. In 2002, I joined Medley Advisors (now absorbed by Energy Aspects as part of its EA360 service) as their “ECB watcher” and EU analyst, predicting policy responses to the 2008-13 financial crisis, the 2015 Greek and 2018 Italian political crises, Brexit, the coronavirus pandemic, and the Ukraine war. Outside EA360, I write and podcast on Europe at 242.news. I gave up on X and Bluesky so you'll only find me on Substack at @242news. Contact: [email protected].

Oluwabunmi Adaramola

Creative Writer and Storyteller

Bunmi Anjola Adaramola (she/her) is a UK-based Nigerian storyteller who first identifies as an intersectional feminist. Her works explore the human condition including themes around body politics, desire, faith and womanhood through a deeply intimate lens. Her stories appear or are forthcoming in Brittle Paper, Kalahari Review, Journal of African Youth Literature, Akpata, Sprinng, AfriHill Press and elsewhere. Her short story, A Cadence of Familial Desires, appears in Noisy Streetss' anthology, A Man and A Woman and Other Stories. Her story, A Name is a Body of Memories, was shortlisted for the Lolonwa Storytelling Prize for Fiction. Adam Quarshie

Freelance Writer | Arts, Culture & Social Issues Journalist

I’m a freelance writer based in Bristol, UK. If there's a theme that ties all of my work together, it might be 'alternate worlds' or 'hidden narratives'. I'm fascinated by the different ways we make sense of the world and what stories we tell about it, whether through music, art, culture or politics. Much of my work has been in music and culture journalism - I’m interested in music at the experimental fringes, weird electronic sounds and variants of sound system culture, often viewed through a historical/political lens. I also write on social and political issues. I'm drawn to topics such as migration, diaspora, identity and belonging, mental health, and our relationship with the natural world. I recently started a Substack exploring some of these ideas. You can find the link below. Alongside my journalistic work, I've worked in digital communications roles for clients in the non-profit sector, including trade unions, community organisations and universities. I've done everything from web content and copywriting to video scripting, blog editing and newsletter campaigns.

Kelly Ranson

Journalist & Content Writer

I am an award-winning journalist and content writer with extensive experience in writing, editing and PR. I have written for a variety of print and online publications, with a focus on travel, cruise travel, meetings & events and technology. I have also worked in-house for one of the UK's most established travel brands looking after the PR, writing blogs and content. Available for writing, editing and content/copywriting commissions.

Abigail Flanagan

Travel writer. Consumer journalist. Copywriter. Content writer.

I'm a freelance writer specialising in luxury travel, wildlife and conservation, lifestyle and well-being. My bylines include The Telegraph, The Times, TTG, The Independent, The Guardian, Sainsbury's Magazine, World of Cruising and Cruise & Travel. I also collaborate with specialist tour operators, including Expert Africa, Experience Travel Group and Original Travel. A consumer journalist by trade, I bring the same curiosity and rigour to my commercial work. Beyond travel, I work with a broad mix of B2C and B2B clients, creating engaging, on-brand content across multiple formats. I've produced sponsored content with Guardian Labs, crafted countless advertorials and know how to balance editorial style with a client's brief. No matter the topic or audience, I'm highly skilled in adapting tone of voice to fit. In recent years, I've written about everything from fine art and high jewellery to menopausal health and workplace equality. (So I know my Boivin from my Bulgari — and the difference between HR, Hirst and HRT.) Whether you need long-form features, snappy web copy, newsletters or hardworking SEO-friendly evergreen content, I'll find the right words for your brand. Drop me a message if you'd like to chat.

Hilerie Kwan

Hi! I am Hilerie, and I am interested in pursuing a career in journalism and research. I believe in the power of language to promote diversity and unveil different perspectives. Because of that, I seek to transform my academic knowledge of cultural theories into intriguing and accessible pieces for the general public. In particular, I am interested in exploring different cultures and excavating the gender and racial ideologies embedded in everyday media. I have recently completed my MPhil at the University of Cambridge and was a Lifestyle writer for Varsity (the largest student newspaper in Cambridge) under their Film and TV section. During my undergraduate degree, I published articles in SCMP (the largest English newspaper in Hong Kong), MOViEMOViE magazine, Life is Art, and Anifest brochures. I am currently seeking freelance writing opportunities. Please feel free to drop me an email at [email protected] if you are interested!
