Editor at Large
I am passionate about the freedom and evolution of the print and digital world, seeking collaborations and learning from an inspiring collection of writers, experiences and titles. I am somewhat unconventional, occasionally controversial, doggedly determined and infuriatingly curious. @VPRCOMM @TrendPriveMag @macedigital @noctismag @clicdigitaluk @TheNewsHub @frukmagazine @RuckLondon @urbanwatchmag @plus_minus_mag @defuzemag @pharoslondon @writingtimesmag
I recently graduated from Humboldt State University [HSU] with a B.A. in journalism with an emphasis in public relations. At HSU I was the opinion editor for the LumberJack Newspaper at Humboldt Sate. I was also the opinion editor for the Oak Leaf Newspaper during 2014-15. I enjoyed working with an editorial board, deciding which articles would run in my section for the week, and inspiring staff writers to contribute their best works. During my time at the Oak Leaf, I won first place in column writing at the Journalism Association of Community Colleges (JACC) Norcal for my articles. I also won the Region 11 Mark of Excellence award with the SPJ for my column writing. My work has helped me to become proficient with adobe creative cloud programs such as; InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. I am also familiar with WordPress and have learned how to adapt to any media platform. Journalism is my passion. So, look out for more of my articles.
