Writing is a powerful tool that I use both formally and creatively to transcend barriers and spread messages to whoever crosses the path of my scribblings. I earned my Bachelors degree in Journalism and Mass Communications which taught me many facets of the news and media realm of writing and how to write for an audience correctly. This course of study also helped strengthen my raw expression of writing so that I can connect on a more expansive level. Photography has been a part of my life from very early on as I received my first camera at the age of six years old. I became most passionate about the pictures I took when I was enrolled in a black & white photography course in my early college years although I had studied the art since my second year in high school. Some of my most beloved topics for both writing and photography are anything relating to nature, spirituality, music, art, and travel. I feel that learning never ends and I am always up for a challenge.

With more than 13 years of professional experience, I excel at crafting intriguing and polished copy. I strongly believe that clear communication is the key to conveying professionalism and expertise. If your company's emails, flyers, website, or other copy contains errors or isn't easily understood, you'll lose credibility with your audience. Opt for a professional who can write compelling content for a number of audiences, maintain brand voice, and nobly uphold the laws of grammar. I excel at writing clear, concise, and accessible copy — and I love doing it. Over the course of my career, I've written for such notable clients as Gaia, Sling TV, Organic India, and Colorado State University Global. I've worked with content marketing agencies, non-profits, e-commerce sites, and numerous entrepreneurs. My work experience includes writing copy for sales funnels, email newsletters, one sheets, research articles, websites, marketing proposals, commercials, animation scripts, style guides, training manuals, power point presentations, and ads. Have a project you need help tackling? Let me know what you're looking for, and we'll work out the details. Shoot me a quick email at [email protected]

I'm an award winning journalist, critic, and producer with over 15 years of experience covering music, culture, style, and politics across digital, print, and video for Esquire, Pitchfork, GQ, VICE, Playboy, MTV News, and Entertainment Weekly. In 2017 I won the Webby People’s Voice award in Animation for Pitchfork.tv’s “A Brief History of Goth” (directed by Joren Cull). I'm a former contributing editor at Esquire, former music columnist for the Chicago Reader, and the only professional music critic to share a songwriting credit with Cat Power. I'm an expert in the history of pop music and youth culture going back to the early 20th century, and a keen observer of the intersection between art and technology. Freelance Copywriter & Editor
I’m a freelance copywriter and editor with over 10 years’ experience writing for some of the UK’s biggest retailers, luxury fashion houses and tech startups. After training as a journalist, I took a (slightly) different career path and joined the in-house team at Selfridges and more recently shopping platform Lyst as Copywriting Director. Since taking the leap into the freelancing world, I’ve written for brands big and small, covering everything from Premier League merchandise and women’s footwear, to baby strollers and travel guides for far-flung destinations. Whether it’s SEO-optimised product copy, headers for PLPs or valuable blog articles you’re after, my goal is to deliver compelling content tailored to your business needs. Aside from being great with words and geeking out over grammar and punctuation, I’m also adept at managing large-scale content projects and developing brand tone of voice, too.
