Jen Moreno

Multimedia Journalist etc

California born, world bound journalist who can quickly adapt to the ever evolving world we live in. I've been in the field of journalism since late 2006 and in that time I have covered a variety of topics: Breaking news, arts, human interest, community features and events, school newsletters, Christian music, college department newsletters, and keeping a blog while studying abroad in Florence, Italy. Print is and will always be home but I also have experience in radio and in front of the camera, as well as behind. Journalism is an evolving field and so long as it continues to grow, so will I. I'm a natural storyteller, my job simply is finding out whose story to tell.

David J. Pollard

Journalist

I am the second of 4 children in a South Boston family. I was born and raised in Southie, and attended high school at Boston Latin School. Through my childhood and high school, I played a variety of sports, including baseball, soccer, and my favorite, hockey. I was the starting goaltender for Boston Latin's Varsity Hockey team from 2006-2008, and was a member of the only team in the school's 370+ year history to win a Div. II State Championship (as a third string in 2004-2005). After high school I attended college at Suffolk University, where I earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism. While wrapping up school I worked as a valet for VPNE Parking Solutions while networking in an effort to create a path to my future as a writer. I interned at 98.5 The Sports Hub for 2 years, and during my time there, I also worked for the NHL Network logging audio files, and wrote for ESPNBoston.com covering high school hockey, in fact covering the very teams I used to play against when I played at Boston Latin. Now, I'm doing the same for the Boston Herald, covering a range of high school sports. I am also working for South Boston Today, a local paper where I cover hard news, human interests and local event stories, as well as sports. I am also a co-host and producer for the sports talk radio show "The Sports Blast" which airs every Saturday from 11AM-2PM on ESPN New Hampshire, 900AM Nashua, 1250AM Manchester, ESPNRadio.com, and the ESPN Radio App. I am laying down a lot of framework and will hopefully find a way to break through in an industry I'm am highly motivated to become a part of. If there's something I know about myself, when I want something I don't stop until I get it - that's my approach to pursuing this career. To help you navigate through this portfolio: My Sports Articles are at the top, my REEL is below the Sports Articles, my audio (Sound and rejoiners created for "The Sports Blast") is at the bottom of the page.

Richard Faulk

Freelance Writer & Editor

I write about music, culture, education, and oddities of all sorts. My work has appeared in or on the 'Silicon Valley Metro,' CNN.com, Huffington Post, 'Content' magazine, and TheFasterTimes.com, and I am the author of the humorous science and history books 'Gross America: Your Coast-to-Coast Guide to All Things Gross' (Penguin, 2012) and 'The Next Big Thing: A History of the Boom-or-Bust Moments That Shaped the Modern World (Zest, 2015). I reported for the Columbia University 'Record' and was an editor at 'Instructor' and 'Scholastic Administrator' magazines, published by Scholastic Inc. I’ve been interviewed on radio a number of times as an expert on “grossology” (a field of my own invention, whose scope might be self-evident), and I also have an appearance in the season two finale of 'Oddities' on the Science Channel.
