I am a journalist in the New York metropolitan area and a Senior Reporter for the Bellmore-Merrick Heralds. I was promoted to the role after nearly a year covering Baldwin, where I managed the full lifecycle of the weekly Baldwin Herald — from developing story ideas and conducting interviews to breaking news coverage, writing, editing and print production. Now covering Bellmore and Merrick, I report on the people, institutions and issues shaping the communities, with work spanning local government, education, politics, business, breaking news and in-depth features. Working in community journalism has taught me how to move quickly between stories while building relationships with sources and finding larger narratives within the issues affecting people at the local level.
