Joanna Ahti

Content Writer

Over the past six years, I've worked for several companies, creating written content for their websites and clients. My main occupation is with Twenty West Media, but have several other freelance projects. I follow SEO practices, have experience with WordPress & Google Docs, and I am a quick learner when it comes to things I have not yet worked on/with. For example, I usually make my own graphics if a company doesn't have its own designer. Simply give me a topic, theme, or question, and a number of words/style you prefer and I'll produce it for you in a timely manner. I love to do research and produce quality articles for individuals and companies alike.

Deborah Heslop

My words have helped companies earn millions, enhance customer experience and showcase thought leadership. I've worked with agencies and direct clients across an array of industries, including finance, health, tech, energy, retail, architecture and tourism. I’m a robust storyteller, skilled at distilling complex concepts and able to tease a narrative out of even the driest data. I've written white papers, guides, reports, blog articles, video scripts, case studies, as well as copy for websites, email newsletters and social posts. I have an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, a BSc in Biology from the University of Calgary, and an ARCT in Piano Teaching from the Royal Conservatory of Music.

R. B. Young

Fiction writer. MES, BArch, BFA

CRIMES OF DISRESPECT, my novel based loosely on land-claim protests at the Six Nations reserve, came out in 2020. I spent the previous decade honing my craft by writing literary short stories. For example, "Paper Icon" appears in the book POLISH(ED): POLAND ROOTED IN CANADIAN FICTION, 2017, by Guernica Editions, Toronto. The literary journals GREAT LAKES REVIEW (Toronto/Chicago), POSTSCRIPTS TO DARKNESS (Ottawa), and OTHER VOICES (Edmonton) have also published my short fiction. In the Late Cretaceous period (the 1980s), I studied architecture at UBC, Vancouver, and completed a master's in environmental studies at York University, Toronto, in 1994. I worked in both fields before turning to writing. Currently, I'm based in Kingston, Ontario.
