Olivia Wilson

Freelance Broadcast Journalist, Producer and Researcher

Having finished my undergraduate degree in English Literature at Newcastle University (and after getting a sufficient amount of travelling out of my system), I returned to London to complete my MA in Broadcast Journalism at City, University of London. During this time I interviewed David Lammy, Sir Vince Cable and Rory Stewart about Brexit on my many spontaneous visits to College Green. Alongside my studies, I worked as an Assistant Producer at LBC, mostly on programmes with Andrew Castle, Maajid Nawaz, Iain Dale, Eddie Mair, Nigel Farage and David Lammy. I moved to Glasgow in the summer of 2019 to BBC Scotland. I work on the Mornings, with Kaye Adams and Stephen Jardine programme where I assist with content production as a Researcher and Producer. I do regular voiceovers for the show and have participated in live on-air discussions. I also work as a Broadcast Journalist for the flagship breakfast programme Good Morning Scotland, the political podcast 'Podlitical' and BBC News Online. After shifting as a Journalism Researcher on the TV News programme, The Nine, I began work as a The Nine's freelance Digital Journalist. Alongside these programmes, I am a regular Researcher for BBC Question Time and Debate Night, having previously worked as a Researcher on Debate Night Extra and The Afternoon Show. I have a particularly strong interest in politics, women's issues and LGBTQ+ stories, with bylines in BBC News Online, The Guardian and The Focus.

Ally Head

Freelance Journalist

As a freelance journalist with over five years experience, I write news, topical features and SEO-focused long-form pieces weekly for the likes of Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Women's Health, Grazia, Good Housekeeping, and more. Not just that, but I advise on social strategy, pitch commissions, and write commercial content, too. Acting as WH's social media editor in October, I grew the Tiktok following to near 5,000, and had two of the best performing pieces across Marie Claire's 2020 Prime Day and Black Friday offerings. Prior to that, I oversaw digital strategy at Foodism and was the junior digital writer at Women's Health magazines. As well as writing, I freelance as an assistant food stylist for celebrity chefs such as James Martin, Mary Berry and Rachel Allen, and work on shoots across food, fitness and lifestyle. Just this year, I worked with Refinery 29 on a yet to be released video campaign. My career highlights include winning Rude Health’s porridge championships two years in a row with my inventive oat risottos and running the London marathon twice for team Women's Health. Ultra marathon - pending. With a wealth of digital and journalistic experience, I am available for freelance health, food and fitness commissions and SEO-focused articles.
