Keely Quinlan graduated from New York University in 2018 with Bachelors in Journalism and English from the College of Arts and Sciences with a minor in Studio Art from the Steinhardt School, where her academic interests included music-based social movements and critical theory focused on decolonization through language and alternative forms of temporality. Her honor's senior thesis was a reported story on the revitalization of the Riot Grrrl movement in Brooklyn. She completed yearlong internships at MSNBC and Galore Media, writing and producing content concerning pop culture, music, and politics for online publication. She has also freelanced for Teen Vogue, and appeared on MSNBC to defend the #TakeAKnee movement in 2017.
