Fashion, Beauty & Lifestyle Journalist
I am a freelance fashion, beauty and lifestyle journalist based in the Yorkshire region. Having trained as a Journalist at Leeds Trinity and All Saints University College and also having had training in Fashion Design and Clothing at the prestigious University of Leeds, I have a wealth of knowledge within the fashion journalism sector. I have taken on roles at the popular review website Yelp, where I worked as a scout helping to build the UK website up in the Leeds area. After this, I took on experience at the Guardian where I worked with the fashion desk, trying my hand at fashion styling for the well known New York band, The Drums for a G2 magazine shoot. Other work has seen me host my own beauty and fashion columns in the Barnsley Eye and Wakefield Eye along with the occasional copywriting venture. I have also worked for the Harrison Mann group with the Yorkshire Business Network, where I sourced local entrepreneurs and interviewed them in order to showcase local businesses and promote local people, and also Adelto, the luxury online magazine where I wrote daily articles on luxury resorts and destinations. I have also enjoyed my role writing for the fashionable urban individual magazine FAB (Fabulous African Black), where I wrote daily contributing to fashion, beauty and world affairs. I currently help with admin, styling and make-up artistry at my family’s photography business, John Divers Photography. During my career thus far, I have interviewed many household names such as; Max Clifford, Kenneth Tong, Elizabeth Dankaro, Joey Bevan, Sam Faiers, Chris Atkinson, Candy Jacobs, Masato Jones and Laura Summers. I hope this list will extend in the near future. I currently run my own website rachaeldivers.com, and take on commission based work which sees me working with all types of clients from hotel chains such as Malmaison to lifestyle coach professionals.
