I’m Vuyo Tshepo Mei, a poet, author, and visual storyteller based in Johannesburg, South Africa. My creative work spans from award-winning poetry to symbolic tattoo design, blending literary expression with visual art.
I’m the author of Critiquial Success of Hope, a poetry collection written during the COVID-19 era, capturing themes of survival, reflection, and inner transformation. My poetry has received multiple accolades internationally — including wins in the Limerick Poetry Contest (USA), Poetry in My Mind contests, and placements in the Robert Burns “Rap Like Robbie” Competition. I was also named a Top Ten finalist in The Horizon Poetry Contest (2024).
Whether through verse or design, my mission is to create work that speaks to the soul and tells stories of hope, identity, and human experience.
