My experience runs the gamut of communications and project management. Full-time roles range from editor-in-chief to writer/reporter, web editor to copy chief, book acquisitions editor to content strategist, and more. I've also been a jack-of-all-trades freelancer and consultant.

With a deep passion for music, I've worked extensively in that realm, including (among many other things) two years as the Senior Editor for DittyTV. But I also have passions for sports, the outdoors, the environment, social justice, psychology, politics, arts & culture, and travel just to name, well, quite a few.

I directed student media at a university and have been an adjunct instructor in communications and English. I am the author of "Gone Pro North Carolina and co-author of "Guide to the Natchez Trace Parkway" and "Weaverville: Images of America." Along with my wife, I'm co-editor of a Substack publication called Grimrose Manor.

It doesn't seem like nearly 20 years ago now that I first hit the road with my kiddo to discover a new craze called Geocaching. This modern day treasure hunt was a way to combine a few of my favorite things: road trips, spending time with my daughter, and exploring the outdoors.

A Look at Scott Cook's "Tangle of Souls" - DittyTV

Cigars and Pipes for Sale - Stories Are Free

The old house with a big porch at 377 Merrimon Avenue is rather nondescript. It looks like several other houses turned into businesses on that strip of commercial thoroughfare featuring businesses such as HomeGrown, Points of Light, and BlackBird Frame & Art.
