Art Tavana is the award‑winning journalist and author of 'Goodbye, Guns N’ Roses.'

For 10+ years, Art has positioned himself as a distinctive voice in contemporary cultural journalism, media criticism, and long‑form narrative writing. His byline has appeared in The Village Voice, VICE, Billboard, Pitchfork, Paste, The A.V. Club, The Spectator (where he also served as culture editor), Spin, USA Today, Washington Examiner, Consequence, The Hollywood Reporter, and as a columnist for Playboy and L.A. Weekly.

His reporting and criticism have been covered by CNN, Business Insider, Nylon, New York Magazine, Rolling Stone, Politico, BuzzFeed, Los Angeles Magazine, Salon, Teen Vogue, Refinery29, The Guardian, and The New York Times, underscoring his influence across the media landscape. Art is a PhD student at USC researching in the interdisciplinary fields of fandom, criticism, and Disney Studies. He also serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Disney Studies.
