I am an education professional who is passionate about writing and editing. I currently work as a Program Manager at an education organization for low-income and at-risk youth. In directing the college access program, I love helping my students write their application essays. I am particularly skilled at helping them find their voice and edit long essays to 650 words or less.

I have worked as an editorial assistant at the Jewish Telegraphic Agency and Lilith Magazine (a print and online quarterly for Jewish feminist issues). I pitched and wrote articles and copy, and edited articles for publication.

Personally, I am a freelance writer who particularly enjoys creative nonfiction and travel essays.

The Farthest Island
The Farthest Island

We pull up to Lake Victoria, hungry for fish. Dozens of stalls are set up, each one with tables in front displaying their tilapia. The fish's eyes bulge like cartoons, caricatures of their own species, staring straight at me while flies feast on their dry skin.
