With a background in sociology and child welfare, I’m drawn to the ways marginalization shapes musical communities and how those spaces create their own systems of care, identity and resistance. I’m fascinated by subcultural genres and musical identity-making. To me, music is both archive and lifeline, the connective fabric that holds stories, movements and people together.
