For any baseball player who steps up the plate to take his swings, the last thing he probably wants is to get hit by a pitch. This is especially true in Major League Baseball. Considering there are many pitchers who can throw over 100 miles per hour, getting hit with a baseball at that speed surely would sting.
This past April 13, 2025, it was Masters time again on the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) tour. The very first winner of this prestigious tournament was Horton Smith in 1934 and the following year, Gene Sarazen became the champion. Last year Scottie Scheffler won the match and earned his green jacket.

Between the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins, these three teams have collectively seen 59 former players inducted into the respective halls of fame for each sport. Of those 59 only nine athletes wore the same jersey number while representing Pittsburgh.
In all professional sports each has their version of the hall of fame. The National Football League and Major League Baseball however get the most attention when it comes time to vote new men in.
