Every person has a story.
My job is to find that story and to write that story.
I tell people's truths.
I started writing when I was a girl and fell in love with the written word. Then, in the sixth grade, I watched All The President's Men. I knew then I was born to be a reporter.
After that night, each step I took brought me closer to being that reporter. Years later, I graduated with a journalism degree. Then, I became a reporter. I worked for newspapers for more than five years.
Life happened. I temporarily left the field. I took on social work jobs. I worked with children who had been abused. I guided domestic violence survivors. These experiences taught me that I needed to get back to writing. I had to use my skills to help others.
And that is precisely what I am doing. I am writing to reveal the injustices in today's world.
