Sydney Barlow

Communications Specialist

United States

Hi, I'm Sydney! I'm glad you're here.

I believe that at the heart of communication is the ability to understand people-- the ability to understand their likes and dislikes, their desires and motivations, what makes them nostalgic, and what makes them want to forget. This is why I love the field so much. In my career as a communications professional, I hope to creatively tell stories and tap into what makes us human.

As a recent George Mason University alumna, I am eager to put my communication skills to work. During my time at school, I sharpened my skills in content writing, event planning, public relations, and copyediting.

With experience in varying aspects of the field, I am excited to learn and work in any capacity. Currently, I hope to work in a communications, public relations, branding, or events role.

Thanks for visiting my profile, I would love to connect with you!

7 Sustainable Clothing Brands that Won't Break the Bank

My boyfriend recently bought me some clothes for Christmas and not a single one of them fit. I was grateful, of course. I'm a self-proclaimed lover of fashion but very rarely do I own clothes that I actually like. I was excited when he said that he had scrolled through my Pinterest for inspiration for what to get me.

Wash Day

Shampoo. Rinse. Repeat. Conditioner only on the ends, so that your roots stay clean

A Poem for Spring

Green-eyed poppies cling to my hair, sew silhouettes, and somehow land in your hands. I’ve become accustomed to making wishes out of anything you can find; Dandelions, eyelashes, and hope hiding in hot days Healing parts of me I didn’t know were broken. But,
