I am a professional photographer whose documentary work has been published and exhibited nationwide. I have been featured as a consultant and guest speaker for several NYC academic institutions including: the School of Visual Arts, Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute and Empire State College.
As the last Photo Editor for The Village Voice, I covered several cultural, political and social events that affected New York City life. Some events include the World Trade Center attacks on 9/11, the 2004 Republican National Convention in NYC, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and the 2004 Presidential election. My accomplishments at The Village Voice also include spearheading the Photography Internship program where I mentored several students and helped them develop successful careers working as photojournalists.
My photography work has been featured in The Village Voice, The New York Times, The New York Daily News, Vogue, Travel and Leisure, American Photo and Hamptons & Gotham Magazines. In addition to a solo exhibition that was shown at the Lucky Cat Gallery in Brooklyn, I had two exhibitions of my documentary work at the Robert V. Fullerton Art Museum in San Bernardino, California. I also had a solo exhibition at the North Bellmore Public library in September 2013 and two solo exhibitions at the Bellmore Public Library. The first Bellmore exhibition was in the summer of 2014 and the second Bellmore exhibition was in April 2016.
My most recent photography was shown at the Pop Up Ice Cream Exhibition in August of 2023 at the Islip Arts Council Gallery. My last solo show, “Girls! Girls! Girls!” was at the American Beauty Bistro in Massapequa in February 2019.
I currently reside in Bellmore. In addition to being a professional photographer, I work as a High School Photography Teacher and a Middle School Digital Media and Art teacher in Nassau County.
