Writing
The publishing industry is perhaps one of the most difficult industries to work with. Whether you're a publisher, an editor, or the marketing guy, everyone can agree that the hardest job is being the author. Avoiding the "slush" pile and querying has become easier to navigate than ever with social media.
Britain, Late 1800s - The Aesthetic movement is flourishing. Having "art for arts' sake" is a common sentiment- beauty holding itself over the ugly head of practicality and morality. This movement captivated the general public and had a deep hold on the arts for years. Perhaps becoming the seeds to bloom the modern trend of romanticizing menial, daily tasks.
Editorial
Served as an Editorial Assistant for the early culminations of "Becoming the Pearl Poet".
A literature review of "Strange Children" by Sadie Hoagland featured in Issue 23 of the Prism Review
Media Management
Part of a media package for the company's upcoming class in July 2023. They requested basic flyers, facebook posts, and information on local restaurants for their nonlocal students.
Personally lead and designed a communication workshop, along with a creative powerpoint, for the organization to further develop better ways of communicating and streamline the working process.
