Robert Balzebre is a Miami-based real-estate investor, hotel owner, and former real-estate attorney with a career that spans more than two decades across development, investment, and asset management. After earning his Juris Doctor in 1992, he spent four years practicing real-estate law before transitioning into hands-on development in Miami’s South Beach. Robert began by acquiring and restoring historic Art Deco apartment buildings, completing full renovations and converting them into successful condominium projects such as The Arcadia, The Maritime, and The Santana. He later purchased the Surfcomber Hotel and led its full-scale renovation and repositioning into a four-star boutique property, while also taking on a growing role in his family’s real-estate business where he secured new entitlements, modernized aging assets, and installed new management teams that significantly improved long-term performance.
As Principal of Balzebre Investments, Robert now oversees a diversified portfolio of hotels, retail centers, multifamily communities, and mixed-use development sites across Florida, Texas, Illinois, Louisiana, and other markets. His investment approach emphasizes long-term value, conservative leverage, and thoughtful reinvestment in physical assets that strengthen performance and durability. Robert’s work reflects a steady focus on responsible growth, disciplined analysis, and hands-on asset stewardship, supported by his academic background in International Law at Tulane University and his Bachelor of Arts in Government and English from Connecticut College. His professional interests continue to center on real-estate development, hospitality operations, and community engagement.
