Max Levine

Writer, Editor, Producer

United States

I am a freelance writer, video editor and producer from Baltimore, MD, currently based in Brooklyn, NY. I have published articles in Deadshirt, Points In Case and The Baltimore Sun, and have also written commercials for Budget Blinds and many scripts for Cracked and "DoYouRemember", a weekly YouTube nostalgia-based web series. The many videos I wrote and edited for this webseries gained over several million views altogether.

Three short films I wrote, directed, edited and produced--"To Moher," "Crunchatized" and "Seafood Diet"*-- got Official Selections in over 45 film festivals around North America and won several awards, including the 2018 Avalonia Film Festival's "Best Dark Comedy Award" ("Seafood Diet") and the 2020 Austin Battle of the Sketches "Best Mockumentary Award" ("Crunchatized").

I'm currently writing my first feature which is an adaptation of "To Moher," an Irish travelogue short that I shot, wrote, edited, directed, and starred in. I'm also in the process of editing a comedy short film, I co-wrote and directed titled "When Jacob Jinkers Came to Town." It will be in festivals in Summer 2024.

*"Seafood Diet" is now available for streaming on TROMANow.
