Study Abroad Wednesday, April 10th, 2019 This past academic year, I had the opportunity to study abroad as an exchange student at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. I feel immensely fortunate to have been able to experience another university's academic program, meet people from all over the world, and immerse myself in an entirely new culture.
My editor wanted a piece about a cancer survivor. I approached an acquaintance and she agreed to share her story with me.
I heard about this from a News Service writer and with her permission, pitched it to the Purdue Alumnus. Fun story to research and write.
