Liz Sundin

Associate Director of Communications

United States

I’m a communications strategist and UX writer with over a decade of experience translating complex information into clear, human-centered content. I currently serve as a Communications Specialist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where I lead strategic messaging for national health initiatives and digital platforms. My work blends storytelling, user experience, and public service—shaped by roles at the VA, the EPA, and in local government—where I’ve developed campaigns that inform, engage, and drive action across diverse audiences.

With a background in English and a commitment to plain language, I bring a thoughtful, collaborative approach to everything I create. Whether writing for web, editing policy memos, crafting onboarding flows, or developing accessible content systems, I believe in designing with empathy and clarity. I’m also a certified Franklin Covey Writing Advantage facilitator and an experienced content editor, trainer, and advocate for inclusive, audience-first communication.
