Leila Tonini

Screenwriter

Italy

She/her. Versatile screenwriter with a soft spot for supernatural/fantasy. TV is her* lifelong passion but she's had fun tackling short films and even VR.

Things you probably WILL find in her scripts: magical elements, humor and heartbreak, female protagonists (Strong™ and vulnerable alike), queerness in both senses of the word, an unwavering faith in humanity in spite of it all.
Things you probably WON'T find in her scripts: grit and gore and hopelessness. Call her a fool but she still believes stories should ultimately inspire us to be better to each other.

*The only thing she finds more awkward than writing about herself is writing about herself in third person. Still, she's been told by The Internet that it's the professional way to do it and she doesn't feel like she knows enough about the subject to dispute it.
