Kathrine is a recent graduate of John Carroll University with a Bachelors of Arts in English Literature. She is an aspiring writer/editor and has experience writing magazine articles and grant proposals. During her time at John Carroll she participated in the John Carroll Review, which is a bi-yearly print literature magazine which features poems, prose, and visual arts pieces created by students of John Carroll.
Currently, she is living and working in Cape May, New Jersey.

Mark Perretta '90 has experienced this effect firsthand while writing his novella " Heaven Above, Earth Below." While attending John Carroll, Perretta studied communication and English while playing defensive cornerback on the Blue Streaks football team.
