As a detailed and creative person, I seek a constructive and meaningful outlet to further my interests and professional experience in writing, research and copy editing.
About me ~ I hold a master's degree in Library and Information Studies and a bachelor of arts degree in English with a concentration in Writing and Communications. I am a certified and licensed school librarian in Massachusetts, U. S. My library experience also includes the public library setting where I worked in youth and young adult services departments.
My writing experience includes working as an editor at a national news wire where I edited press releases and electronically disseminated these releases to major news outlets. Additionally, I was employed as a news assistant and music writer for the arts and entertainment section of The Republican (formerly the Union News) in Springfield, Massachusetts.
My personal interests include Reiki, I am Level I and II certified; yoga, gardening, reading, crafts, the beach and working with children.
I welcome opportunities to work with a variety of people and I am eager to be a meaningful part of projects. My goal is to expand my writing and research skills while offering my creativity and expertise.
