When I was in first grade, I took it upon myself to teach my sister to read. I couldn't stand by and not share the wonder of the written word! I never shook that love for the written word, the way it opens up new possibilities and connections. Since then, I have worked as a print magazine editor, web content editor, copyeditor, writer, writing coach and poet.
In over a decade of publishing experience, I've eschewed countless instances of passive voice and helped people tell their stories whether it's a student, homeowner, interior designer or small business owner. I'd love to collaborate. Find me on LinkedIn and get in touch!

That morning, she did not find the work she needed; instead, she found something "miraculous" that transcended the grim business of factory work and unemployment.
"This poem can change a person's entire way of being," my professor Chad Wriglesworth said of Denise Levertov's "Caedmon." A high claim for a poem-and it's true for me. I originally read "Caedmon" as an undergraduate and aspiring poet in California. I can still picture it printed on the crinkled page in my water-damaged anthology.
