South Africa

I report on the, shall we say vibrant, South African Parliament for South Africa's biggest online news platform, News24.

Ramaphosa serves Happy Meals while McDonalds burns

Cyril Ramaphosa doesn't call a spade a spade. He'll rather use that rhetorical spade to shovel some more bureaucratic gibberish on the massive pile of bullshit already stinking up our Parliament. This was the case again on Wednesday, when Ramaphosa was in the National Assembly to answer questions.

Zuma's last speech as ANC president... in a song and a dance

Johannesburg - Shortly after 14:00, the ANC elective conference at Nasrec finally shows signs of clicking into gear, about five hours later than planned. At the front of the stage, inside the plenary hall, delegates from KwaZulu-Natal, Free State, Mpumalanga and North West are bouncing while singing songs in support of Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.
