'The game saved us': How football lifted Chiles' Josef Marlow beyond living with Autism

Chiles High junior defensive lineman Josef Marlow's involvement in football didn't start out with an announcement at school. Or a social media posting on Facebook. It came from a recommendation by his pediatric therapist to his mother, Cher Marlow. Marlow was diagnosed with Autism at a young age, and one of the common traits is being very routine-oriented.

Coyotes well aware of challenge ahead in MacKinnon, Avalanche

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are uncharted territory for the Coyotes. After defeating Nashville 3-1 in game four of their play-in series on Friday, the team punched its ticket into the playoffs for the first time since 2012. It's been awhile since the team competed for The Cup, but the Coyotes are very aware of their opponent.

After a week of full team training camp, the Arizona Coyotes are one step closer to its play-in series against Nashville in a little less than two weeks. In playing as a whole team for the first time in four months, there were highs and lows in the team's first week back together.

Through Make-A-Wish, Ball State gymnastics creates unforgettable experience

There was an extra member on the Ball State gymnastics' team during its come-from-behind victory over Bowling Green. From the team huddle to the Cardinals comeback performance on the floor event, 6-year-old Halleigh Lynn Chitwood stood close by. Halleigh's childhood hasn't been as easy.

Many faces and personalities wander the halls of the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society. In the kennel you can meet Cal. The shy 7-year-old German Shepard/Alaskan Malamute mix loves to have her ears scratched. Or Buddy, a 3-year-old Lab/Hound mix is a playful and goofy spirit who loves the outdoors.

Pride drives Argylls to upset win over Alex

ALEXANDRIA - After a blowout loss to Southwood on Thursday, Argylls head coach Brian Trout wrote one word on the whiteboard and questioned it. "Pride?" With the odds against them, facing the Tigers in Alexandria, Madison-Grant played with its pride on its sleeve to stun the Tigers, 71-65.
