I started my writing career developing learning curricula and technical documentation as a public school teacher, teaching high school mathematics and computer science courses. During this time, I found that I had a knack for writing documentation to explain complex processes to end users and creating engaging training material for students and their parents.
In the fall of 2016, I started working as a freelance technical writer and instructional designer to supplement my teaching income. During this time, I took as many writing courses as possible to learn all of the tricks of the technical writing trade while continuing my working writing curriculum.
After completing successful writing projects, I was encouraged to pursue writing full-time and founded Haas Technical Writing. Since its inception in 2018, I have worked with numerous edTech and technology companies to create customer-facing technical documentation and training/onboarding content.

"Hired Jonathan to help me tackle an open ended JIRA project presentation and went above and beyond. He broke down a variety of JIRA concepts and capabilities in a very efficient and easy to follow manner. He works very quickly and optimized the time spent on the contract and saved me money. He has even offered to connect me with people and help me network as I begin my career. 10/10 would recommend to anyone." -Quin Stanton, General Atomic Aeronautical
