By Emma Harville Ruslana Westerlund's dolls spoke Russian. And they lived in an apartment in a big city and wore pretty dresses and ribbons in their shiny synthetic hair.

Interview Project: Alina Yermakovich

When she's not singing in her church worship group almost every day of the week, she teaches third graders Russian, chugs coffee at Botany Coffee and visits with her Belarusian grandparents.
