Lindsey Parker

Marketing Strategist, Writer, Former PM

United States

For a long time I thought I was purely "a creative type." I couldn't be bothered with combustion engines, and I wasn't interested in classical mechanics - but I loved the math underlying it all.

It took me years (and several rereads of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance), but I realized that my delight in abstraction wasn't in conflict with the world of material objects. My appreciation for math was aesthetic. Elegant systems are beautiful and deserving of attention, whether theoretical or at work in a device in your pocket. So I went to work in technology, and I became a writer.

I'm always on the hunt for the awe experience triggered by big ideas. To that end, I've been a product manager in the aerospace industry. I've consulted in marketing for many startups, and I've been honored as a "Woman Leading the AI Industry." I've done psychology research at the University of New Mexico, and I've recently begun pre-Master's coursework in CS with the goal of specializing in computational ecology.
