Screenwriting
Demonstrates understanding of screenwriting convention, use of standardized formatting, and writing for a more visual medium.
Heya, my name is Steven, but I prefer to go by Cayenne, Capricious, or C.C., and I'm an experimental, independent, creative writer! My hope as an artist is to present intimate and impactful stories through various mediums to reach audiences around the world and help inspire and connect people through their shared human experiences. My muse would be the wide, colorful array of emotions found within the psyche and shared within relationships.
I mostly write fiction, specifically novels, but I also dabble in other areas, especially as I aspire to utilize the new emerging technology of the digital era to change the way stories are consumed. I tend to explore more humanistic themes that aim to capture the essence of living from all perspectives and circumstances from loss to guilt to identity, and that's reflected in my dominant style of first-person, present-tense narration marked with flow-of-consciousness qualities and unreliable narrators.
My main project, Some Sort of Series, is a multimedia work that consists of installments of self-contained stories narrated from the perspectives of a vast and expanding cast of characters occupying a grand, fantastical world that lends itself to stories of various genres and intertwining at times. There are currently two novels published digitally with both a screenplay and a webcomic in the works! Please look forward to it!
