Brian J. Melton

I’m a Texas native who has been migrating north since the completion of my undergraduate degree (English/Film Studies) at the University of Texas. I grew up in Lubbock, Texas, home of Buddy Holly, Texas Tech, and dirt-whipped tumbleweeds. On my way to completing my first Master’s degree in English Lit at the University of Colorado Denver, I spent time as a radio DJ, played music in various venues on Austin’s (in)famous 6th Street, wrote several feature articles as the Associate Editor of Denver Magazine (including an interview with Barack Obama), and ran my own PR company. Feel free to ask about anything. I have some pretty fantastic stories. My wife and I moved back to Chicago to be closer to family who live in the Palatine area after our beautiful boy was born in October. I completed my second Masters in Secondary Education and am currently teaching high school students in the 'Burbs of Chicago.
