Styling and costume design for One In a million music video.

Chin Chillah x Ariel - two unique voices, two unique characters, one at vision. This song is the first official collaboration between the German raggamuffin and the Zambian soul singer. Maricko was tasked with styling the duo from his brand called Terrapin Wear. He ensured bringing a bold elevation in their style from scene to scene to create vibrancy and unity in a simplistic yet sophisticated manner that resonates with the emotion of the song.

Styling and costume design for Hakate music video.

The musician (Killer T) was seeking to create a funky light-hearted throwback feel along with throwing in a modern twist for his song named Hakete. Maricko then went on to design, create and style a Zimbabwe feel from the 80"s. The music video's wardrobe also then blends in clean looks encompassing modern era to give it a pop of nice contrast. He managed to reach a retro look for the music video.

Costume design and styling for Tora Hombe/Team Yokosa (Official Music Video)

For a music video called Team Hombe the musicans sort to bring a zesty edgy outlook. Maricko got to do the costume design and styling for the singer named Poptain ft Herman, along with the video vixens. The music video sort to bring the songs vibrancy, whilst also showing true Zimbabwean flair. Maricko went into creating a freeing wardrobe of colourful pop culture.

Maricko got to design the clothing worn by the models. Co-directed the shoot. The final images Maricko converted in inkscape into more graphic art-work. The brand creates Afro-organic streetwear clothing, thus ensuring the media conveys a thrashing connection to natures celestial ease. Visually showing the impact within and without humans.

Bikini digital design renders

Maricko was tasked to design a bikini for a private client. He created digital renders showing various concepts for the design. Toying on boldness of colour and cut while retaining comfort. The fabric of choice that was used was spendax for the actual garment as that does not hold too much water along with it having a good stretch factor. The background is an actual painting created by Maricko.

Costume design and styling for Nagug -Rise up(Music Video)

Nagug set to create a retro visuals for her music video. The design brief sort to create somewhat a timeless video. Maricko created pieces that would match the hopeful essence of the song. Merging a nostalgic 90's flair to the garments. The costumes, set design, styling and accessories had to embody an upbeat flavour. This path lead to the colour choices matching each video vixens resemblances to core hopes of the songs theme.

This design work was done to serve a client seeking to renovate their branding. Serving a more rich ethnic feel. The design print was designated for wallpaper and clothing. This design pattern is inspired by the chevron rock design of Great Zimbabwe and some maNdebele ancient patterns.
