The UK General Election on December 12th has been branded the "Brexit election" by the media, but in Scotland, it's a little bit more complicated. As the nation braces for one of the most important votes in decades, there are two elephants in the room north of the border: Brexit, and Scottish independence.

LAST month, I celebrated my first anniversary of my moving back to Scotland. What a curious time to pick, as an EU citizen, to come to live in the UK, I've been told time and time again. I know, right?
I can't vote in the UK general election in December... But that doesn't mean I shouldn't get an interest. I'm an active citizen in Scotland, and I urge my fellow EU citizens to be engaged too.
