I have years of experience working in radio and TV and since 2019, I have been producing and presenting my own show on YouTube, 30 minutes with Arezo.

As a young journalist, I am passionate about creating video content, producing podcasts and continuing my work as a women's rights activist.

Have you ever felt embarrassed while learning English?

When I first arrived in Sydney, I was learning English at high school. One day I had a headache and told my teacher Another time that same teacher was talking about hot dogs. I immediately exclaimed "Yuck!" and made a surprised face.

Afghanistan: The nightmare returns to my homeland

Now living safely in Sydney, I remember when the Taliban came into our apartment in Kabul to arrest my mother. Her crime: teaching girls and women. My father died of cancer when I was one. Mum had to work during the Taliban's reign to earn money and keep her four children alive.

Afghan American musician Qais Essar has turned heads in Australia as he arrived to perform in the country for the first time. The widely respected instrumentalist, composer and producer, is an Afghani traditional music virtuoso. Essar performed to a sold-out crowd at Redfern earlier in August.
