Annual Holiday Market brings cheer for local vendors

I wrote this press release surrounding the Holiday Market put on by local organization Zora's House in order to show off a significant event in our area that supports a minority group. With such an amazing organization behind it and such an admirable goal of bolstering female business owners, I think this event definitely deserves coverage that a release like this could generate.

I put together this feature article to highlight one of the student organizations on campus, Empower Sports, and all of the great work they do with disabled children. By representing this minority group and ensuring that they have a place where they feel included week after week, Empower is doing amazing work, and I felt it was important to showcase everything they do.

I wrote this sample blog post for a class assignment. We needed to create an example of something we would put on a personal or company blog site. As someone really interested in social media and digital marketing, I thought it would be effective to write a walkthrough of some of the best practices for increasing engagement through stories, as many people overlook that part of the platform.

I created this sample press release for one of my class assignments this semester in order to showcase Ohio State's on-campus Día de los Muertos celebration. I was able to interview the event's organizer, which helped me get a much better understanding of the significance of the event.

I analyzed Google's response as a corporation to the Black Lives Matter demonstrations in the summer of 2020 in order to get a better understanding of what corporate communications can look like in the face of a national movement. It helped me understand some of the most important things to avoid and some of the things that are essential to success when it comes to pleasing the masses surrounding such a volatile topic.
