Devin Aguilar

My father wanted to call me Rosa, but thank god my mother chose Devin. I grew up with my grandparents starting at the age of six in Los Angeles, California until I was about fifteen and we uprooted our broke lifestyle to the small-ish county of Lakeway, TX. As an old friend once told me "we just attract weird people, and it makes for wonderful writing." I didn't think I could become a writer and survive for a very long time but once I decided to fully embrace it I ran and started this portfolio, knowing I'd probably need it someday. This is a compilation of poems and prose and stories from all the weird people in a scrapbook of all corners of my writing world - from Los Angeles to Texas - and I sincerely hope you enjoy it.
