Promotional materials
Examples of flyers I created to promote IWSS events and services.
I am a writer, a reader, and a traveler. My professional work with non-profits reflects my commitment to social justice and my deep desire to make a positive difference in our world. I earned my MFA in Writing from CalArts and my BA in Humanities with Women's Studies from New College of Florida, both writing-intensive degrees culminating in completed theses. Born and raised in Colorado, I have lived all over: Sarasota, FL; San Diego CA; Los Angeles, CA; Paris, France; and Merida, Yucatan, Mexico.
Examples of flyers I created to promote IWSS events and services.
20-page Student Affairs Board (SAB) self-study funding request I wrote annually with collaborative input from my supervisor.
New content for the IWSS homepage, created to respond to current events.
Grant proposal that I co-wrote for Spirithorse, a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Moorcroft, Wyoming.
16-page cultural competency report I was contracted to write for Sixth Sun Consulting’s client, Chaffee County Family and Youth Initiative.
A narrative non-fiction piece published in spring of 2009 about an unmarked graveyard in the California desert where the bodies of more than 600 undocumented immigrants are buried.
Newsletter I edited; I oversaw layout, pictures, and proofing all content. I contributed articles as needed and wrote all copy without a byline.
The blog I maintained for a year in 2005-2006 is now locked, so I created a new blog home for some of the posts, a "best of."
Promotional flyers for events, trips off campus, and recruitment for new employees.
