I'm a UK qualified lawyer with an honours degree in law and business studies from the University of Edinburgh. In 2008 I decided to return to South Africa to follow my passion for travel, writing and communications. In 2010 I joined Rhino Africa Safaris where I worked as the Marketing and Communications Manager for 5 years. I joined The Royal Portfolio in 2015.

We started Rhino Asia in 2014 in the quest to provide our clients with the ultimate travel and wildlife experiences. Rhino Asia was a natural progression for Rhino Africa which started in 2004. I was responsible for the development of the entire Rhino Asia website including the videos and scripts and wrote much of the text myself.

Dreams Do Come True - Rhino Africa Safaris

We built a YouTube channel with over 550,000 views and my team produced all of our videos in-house including concept, script, filming, voiceovers and production.

We built a Facebook community from scratch to over 150,000 followers.

Produced, edited and contributed to Africa Traveller magazine for Rhino Africa Safaris. Along with the digital version that is also available as an app in the Apple store and on Google Play, 100,000 hard copies were distributed with the Saturday Times in London.

It's not easy to sleep on a train. If you're my colleague Ryan. I found the Dickensian sounds and monotonous rhythm of the train quite soporific. Apparently my snoring kept Ryan awake. It all started in Cape Town you see.
