The Fall of the Kings is the first in a trilogy of plays that explores black presence and identity across the African diaspora during World War II. It follows the story of a black ballerina, the daughter of a black American heiress and a Cuban father.
A contemporary piece, The Broken Window Theory is focused on a visual artists' attempt to come to terms with Huntington's Disease and the turbulence it causes in her relationship with her only son. Audiences can expect a masterfully-crafted, intensively dramatic, two-character event.

Writer and Director, Mai Sennaar is an alum of the Tisch School of the Arts. In 2012, at the age of 19, her first play, The Broken Window Theory, premiered at the famed Nuyorican Poets' Cafe in New York City starring Tony award-winnerTonya Pinkins and was directed by Tony award-nominee Michele Shay.
Baltimore-born and -raised playwright Mai Sennaar is gearing up for a significant new step in her blossoming career. The world premiere of Sennaar's ambitious drama "The Fall of the Kings" will be held Sept. 5 at one of the New York City's historic landmarks, the Andrew Freedman Home in the Bronx.
