I am a multimedia journalist, currently working as a trainee reporter for the South Wales Guardian.
During my time at this weekly paper, I have been able to establish strong contacts, securing exclusives, bringing front pages, off-dairy stories, writing investigations, court reports, features, human interest pieces and covering entertainment and sports.
Thanks to my qualification as a production journalist, I am able to contribute to the design of the newspaper and assist in every phase of the production.
I am a keen user of various social media including twitter, storify and google maps.
After the MA in media practice at Bangor University, I trained at Brighton Journalist Works, where I completed a fast-track NCTJ course with a gold standard.

Jenkins gears up for toughest test

UPDATED - Two injured in Tycroes explosion

Two men suffered serious burns following a suspected gas explosion and fire at a house in Tycroes. Emergency services were summoned to Hafod Road at 4.20pm on Monday, August 4, by residents. Witness Polly Powell, who called the fire service, described how she heard the explosion and saw flames coming from the property.

Gay Ammanford dismissed claims made by The Observer magazine's article, Story of a Male Escort, which gave a frank interview with 'Josh Brandon' a 21-year-old originally from Ammanford.

Labour cries foul over County hall coalition deal

FOLLOWING Plaid's seizure of Carmarthenshire County Council ending Labour's reign at County Hall, a political storm has erupted between both sides over how the deal was struck. Tycroes councillor, Calum Higgins, has accused Plaid of turning down an opportunity to negotiate a Labour coalition, claiming a deal with the Independents was done behind closed doors beforehand.
