Katie Staples

Freelance Writer

United States

In March 2013, my professional life took a back seat to my #1 priority, my son, Ziggy. For the past three years, I've been working part-time for his elementary school. Now, however, I'm contemplating my next move. Maybe you can help me figure out what that is exactly.

Basically I am seeking to blend my skills in writing and marketing with my interests in networking and promotion. Ideally at home or close to it (Greenfield, IN). Most likely on a part-time basis. Tall order? Perhaps! But I have learned that if you don't ask for what you want - specifically - you're sure to never get it.

If you believe you and/or your company might offer an opportunity that fits what I'm all about, please drop me a line at [email protected]

Alternative Break Inspires Ministry, Service

For many students, spring break is a vacation, a chance to step away from the stresses of daily life. But last year, Mary Carper and Kaylee Bluethmann (now sophomores) embarked on Marian University's alternative spring break to Campton, Kentucky, and their experience wasn't exactly a walk on the beach.
