Royalty joined the Telstra team last November when Emily Causley, one of our team members in our Grafton NSW, was crowned Queen 0f the annual Jacaranda Festival. Emily was one of four contestants vying for the crown and she spent almost seven months in the lead up to the festival fundraising and attending official functions.
Floods in Queensland last month caused massive damage to property. Among the affected properties was a Telstra store in Gympie which became completely submerged. A combination of teamwork, ingenuity and determination ensured that we continued to assist our local customers however. Within two days the River Road Telstra premises in Gympie became completely submerged.
As I patted myself down I knew it was no use. I could clearly picture my smartphone forlornly sitting on my desk at home. I was in an unfamiliar place and needed to make a call, pronto. What I needed was a payphone. Would I be able to find such a thing?
